Known informally as the Chairman of the City Council of Funk, the Professa resumes his sacred duty of bringing Soul music in its many guises to discerning dancers this Wednesday night at Soul by the Pound

These sessions aim at illuminating the conceptual creative process of contemporary art and its practitioners through art making and discussion. No previous knowledge or mastering of techniques is required, just an open mind. Students will appreciate art in all of its appearances and begin to break down the perceived barriers between everyday life and the art world, achieving a generally heightened level of awareness.

Raised by Wolves is Hawaii’s only country/folk band. (They must be, right?) Their roster of influences is stellar, including but not limited to Hank Williams, Matt Pryor, Dustin Kensrue, City and Color, Old Crow Medicine show and, curiously, Agaist Me! Tavis Wigginz and the ever huggble DJ Ross Jackson complete the bill.
